Throughout the entirety of Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter kept my nose shoved between pages.
The book is like an elegant dinner with an array of sides. Each character is described in great detail, and each consecutive chapter is a different setting and point of view.
Not only was the change refreshing, but it kept the story interesting and added a lot of intriguing information to the story.
In addition, the story itself was completely enthralling and was a roller coaster of emotions.
Sometimes one page could have provoked tears twice and laughter thrice.
As the story unfolded itself, it became very apparent that the message of the book is that a person needs to be his or herself.
I believe that the moral of the story is exceedingly significant in life, and applicable to anyone.
This book would be a great read for anyone who likes romance, drama, history and Italy.
