Early Republican Debate

  During the Republican Debate that aired at 4 p.m. CT, pivotal questions were presented to the candidates.

  Immediately, the governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal and the former chairman of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina stood out because of how they addressed the issues of ISIS and government-dependency. 

  The way that they both said the country needed to re-strengthen relations with our traditional Middle-Eastern allies was spot-on. 

  When the candidates were asked what their first executive order would be, many of the candidates responded with undoing President Obama's executive orders. A few others said that they would give more protection to Christians from the harassment of government. 

  During the closing speech, Rick Perry said that America was a good leader away from the best years its ever seen. To hear such a positive attitude is not only refreshing but admirable. That comment made me interested in Perry.

   Rick Santorum made remarks about bringing back American manufacturing, how America needs to make more efforts to take more manufacturing power for itself. 

  Carly Fiorina was spot on when she attacked democrats for not being of value and American ideals.

  George Pataki proved his qualifications by talking about his achievements in the "deep blue state" of New York, bringing the biggest sweep of conservative legislation in a democratic-majority legislature.
  Using Fox's Election 2016 app, I was able to score the candidates when they said something I agree or disagree with, and my results showed that I most agree with Rick Perry, followed by Carly Fiorina and Bobby Jindal.
  I believe that Perry and Fiorina are my two favorite candidates from the debate, the only reason I agree with Perry more is because he had a better closing speech.
